Irek Głyk is a well-known and accomplished musician. Apart from playing vibraphone and drums he is also known for being skilled composer and arranger. He became interested in music in his childhood and from that time music became influential part of his life. He graduated from Karol Szymanowski Music College in Katowice. He was studying in the Jazz and Popular Music Department of Katowice's Music Academy and was a bursar of the famous Berklee College of Music in Boston .He created and was the leader of Ireneusz Głyk quartet (which earned second place in "Jazz Juniors" in Cracow). Few years later he engaged in a new project - duet with Bernard Maseli (vibraphone + marimba) - their live performances were all spectacular successes so it was not a surprise when both artists decided to reopen this project.
